In sun-dappled glade, where shadows did play, Lived Squeaky the Squirrel, one bright, breezy day. The ferns unfurled gently, the birds sang so sweet, But acorns were scarce, a terrible treat! Young Squeaky was brave, with a twitch of his nose, "I'll find a nut stash," he boldly proposes! He leaped to a branch, with a flick of his tail, His quest had begun, through valley and dale. Then Barnaby Bear, with a rumble and groan, Awoke from his nap, on a moss-covered stone. He sniffed at the air, a nutty perfume, And followed the scent, dispelling the gloom. Squeaky climbed higher, a dizzying spree, Past grumpy old owls in an ancient oak tree. He darted and dodged, with a flurry of paws, Ignoring the Bear, ignoring his roars! He swung from a vine, like a nutty Tarzan, Outsmarting the Bear with his masterful plan! He landed ker-plunk, in a hollow so deep, Where acorns were piled, in a mountainous heap! With a chirp of delight, and a twinkle so bright, Squeaky gathered his fill, with all of his might. But then, feeling generous, he scurried around, And led Barnaby Bear to the treasure he’d found. They feasted together, forgetting their chase, In the sun-dappled glade, a smile on each face. For sharing the bounty, as plain as can be, Made the squirrel and the bear, the best friends you'll see!
Deep in the jungle, where the trees grow tall, On a green leaf sat a frog, so small. Her eyes were bright, her heart was kind, And her tiny tadpoles swam close behind. The tadpoles wiggled, they splashed with glee, In a pool beneath their leafy tree. But danger lurked in the humid air— Hungry wasps were buzzing near! The tadpoles shivered; they felt the fright, Their tiny tails quivered in the dim sunlight. But Mama Frog croaked, "Stay calm, my dears! I'll protect you all—no need for tears." The wasps swooped down with a buzzing sound, But the clever tadpoles knew what to do now. With a wiggle and splash, they leapt from sight, Plunging into the water to hide from the fight. Mama Frog stood firm on her leafy throne, Facing the wasps all on her own. With a mighty kick of her strong back legs, She sent those wasps flying like scrambled eggs! The jungle grew quiet; the danger was gone, And Mama Frog croaked a victory song. Her tadpoles peeked out from their watery bed, Safe and sound with nothing to dread. "You're brave and smart," she said with pride, "And together we'll thrive in this jungle wide." The tadpoles wiggled; they knew it was true— With Mama Frog near, there's nothing they can't do! So under the stars and the moon's soft glow, The frog and her tadpoles began to grow. In their jungle home, so lush and grand, They lived happily ever after on their leafy land.
