Summer Vacation!
(A Seasons Poem)
In fields of green, where summer sings, Vacation starts, on buzzing wings! A summer field, with bugs so bright, A picnic waits, a happy sight!
The children came, with glee and shout, Among the daisies, all about. A ladybug, upon a leaf, Began to crawl, beyond belief.
The ants marched on, a tiny line, Towards the crumbs, that looked so fine. A grasshopper, with legs so long, Hopped in the air, with joyful song!
The birds flew down, with feathers bold, A robin red, a story told. They watched the children, laugh and play, Throughout the sunny, summer day.
With sandwiches and juice so sweet, A picnic feast, a happy treat! Then games they played, beneath the sun, Their summer fun, had just begun!
They watched the bugs, a buzzing swarm, And felt the sun, so bright and warm. The birds above, sang melodies, Among the trees, and buzzing bees.
But whispers came, on breezes light, Of shorter days, and fading light. The leaves would turn, a fiery hue, Autumn awaits, for me and you!
Though summer fades, and starts to wane, The memories bright, will still remain. Of picnic days, and fields so green, A summer dream, a vibrant scene!
