In a sun-dappled forest glade, Where sunlight danced and shadows played, Lived Squirrel, with fur of brown so bright, And a fluffy tail, a wondrous sight.
He'd lost his best nut, a treasure untold, More precious than silver, more worthy than gold! "Oh dear, oh dear!" he chirped in despair, "My finest acorn is no longer there!"
Then hooooo! From a branch, wise Owl did call, "I saw a clue, both big and small! A trail of crumbs, a leafy swirl, Follow it, Squirrel, and give it a whirl!"
Rabbit hopped near, with twitching nose, "I spotted something, where the wild rose grows! A shiny glint, a mossy mound, Perhaps your treasure can be found!"
So Squirrel raced, with Rabbit in tow, Through ferns and bushes, where wildflowers grow. Up towering trees, then down so fast, Their nutty quest, meant to forever last!
They found a feather, a berry bright red, Each clue a whisper, in the path ahead. Past babbling brooks and sunlit streams, Living in their nutty dreams!
At last, they arrived at a hollow log, Where sunlight streamed, escaping fog. And there it was, a gleam, a spark! His beautiful acorn, safe in the dark!
Squirrel squealed with joy, a happy sound, His precious acorn, safe and sound! With Owl and Rabbit, friends so true, They feasted together, the whole day through!
