In a garden, a riot of blooms so bright, Where sunshine danced with pure delight, Lived a fuzzy friend, a caterpillar green, The cutest bug you've ever seen!
He munched on leaves, all day and night, A tiny tummy, filled just right. He crawled so slow, a wiggly fellow, Beneath the petals, golden yellow.
Then, sleepy crept, to find a nook, And spun a silk, a comfy look. A chrysalis shell, a cozy bed, Where secret magic filled his head.
He slept and dreamed, for days untold, A brand new story, yet to unfold. Inside that shell, a change so grand, A painted marvel, close at hand.
Then CRACK! A flutter, soft and low, The shell broke open, watch it go! A butterfly emerged, with wings so fine, A splash of color, truly divine!
He kissed the flowers, a gentle breeze, And danced among the leafy trees. The caterpillar's gone, the story's new, A butterfly's life, forever true!
