In fields of green, a summer's dream, Where corn stalks sway and sunbeams gleam, A scarecrow stands, so tall and grand, Protecting crops across the land.

With straw-stuffed arms and button eyes, He watched the birds that filled the skies. A woven hat upon his head, He guarded fields from dawn till bed.

The sun beamed down, a golden eye, As crows flew close, then soared on high. But scarecrow stood, a silent threat, "Caw! Caw!" they cried, "Not landed yet!"

He'd wave his arms in gentle breeze, A rustling sound amongst the trees. The birds would pause, their courage gone, And search for treats until the dawn.

From morning dew to evening's hush, He worked so hard with silent push. The corn grew tall, a golden prize, Reflected in the scarecrow's eyes.

So safe the crops, so bright the day, The scarecrow smiled in his own way. The summer sang a happy tune, Beneath the sun and harvest moon.
