A spaceship landed with a "thump," Right in my backyard, a grassy bump! The time? Midnight, all dark and deep, While fireflies winked and crickets did peep.
Out popped Zorp, an alien green, The silliest creature I'd ever seen! His eyes were like googly bouncy balls, And he wore a suit of sequined overalls.
I, of course, was Little Tim, Known for my giggle and playful whim. Zorp’s ship was purple, a sight so grand, Like a giant grape jelly, stuck in the sand!
He came to Earth just for a play, "Your games," he boomed, "Look fun today!" We played tag with shadows long and tall, And hopscotch on the garden wall!
He tried to eat my bouncy slide, Said metal tasted deep inside Like fizzy juice and sparkly stars, Behind him a giggling alien Mars!
He told me jokes in blorpy sound, That made my head spin round and round. He sang a song about a space cow, That mooed in starlight, somehow, anyhow!
But soon the ship began to glow, Zorp waved goodbye, "Gotta go!" He zoomed back up in a glittery streak, Leaving me laughing, week after week!
Now, when the stars begin to gleam, I watch my yard and softly dream. Of Zorp the alien, green and bright, And our silly games in the backyard night!
