The sun peeked over the baobab tree, Painting the savanna gold, wild, and free. Dew kissed the grass, a shimmering sheen, On Africa's heart, a vibrant scene.
Leo the Lion, with mane so grand, Stood stiff and still upon the land. He puffed his chest, prepared to boom, But something was wrong, inside his room...
His throat, that is! He tried to roar, But all that came out was a tiny "SNORE!" Then a squeak, a chirp, a feeble sound, Leo's mighty roar couldn't be found!
Zebra the Zebra, striped black and white, Heard Leo's peep in the morning light. "Goodness, Leo! What's all the fuss? You sound like a mouse, not a glorious us!"
Leo sighed low, "My roar is gone! It vanished last night, before the dawn. I tried and I tried, but all I can do, Is squeak like a toy, sad and blue."
Zebra thought hard, with a swish of his tail, "Perhaps your roar is hiding, faint and frail. Let's look for it, Leo! We'll search high and low, Across the savanna, wherever it may go!"
They looked in the termite mounds, dusty and brown, They peeked in the bushes, all over town. They asked the giraffes, so tall and so grand, "Have you heard a roar, lost in the sand?"
The giraffes shook their heads, with a gentle sway, "We've heard only silence, all through the day." Leo felt hopeless, his spirit so low, His mighty roar, where did it go?
Then Zebra noticed, a sparkle of light, Reflecting off dew, so dazzlingly bright. On a blade of grass, a tiny bead hung, Like a captured roar, waiting to be sung!
"Look, Leo, look!" Zebra cried with glee, "Your roar's reflection, for you to see!" Leo stared close, at the shimmering sphere, And felt a small rumble, banishing fear.
He took a deep breath, from his toes to his crown, He felt a vibration, rising up and down. He opened his mouth, with all of his might, And out boomed a ROAR, filling the light!
The savanna echoed, the baobab trees swayed, Leo's lost roar had finally been played! Zebra cheered loud, with a joyful kick, "Your roar is back, Leo! Quick, do the trick!"
Leo roared again, a magnificent sound, Across the savanna, happiness was found. He thanked Zebra Zebra, his friend true and bold, "My roar is restored! More precious than gold!"
