In forest hushed, where snowflakes gleam, Winter's blanket, a frozen dream. Snowie the snowman, stood so tall, But felt a sadness, beyond the wall Of icy winds and branches bare, A lonely heart, in winter air.
His coal eyes stared at frosted trees, Whispering softly, "If you please, Could someone, anyone, come near? This silent winter, fills me with fear."
Then chirping bright, a tiny sound, A feathered friend, upon the ground! Birdie she was, with wings so bold, Defying winter's chilling hold.
She hopped and pecked, then looked above, At Snowie's face, filled with no love, Just quiet longing, in the snow, A silent plea, for seeds to sow Of friendship's joy, and laughter's grace, To banish sadness from this place.
"Hello!" chirped Birdie, clear and sweet, "Why so glum, with frozen feet? The sun will shine, the snow will melt, But friendship's warmth, is deeply felt!"
Snowie, surprised, his coal eyes wide, Had never known a friend to confide. He smiled a smile, so slow and grand, A melting moment, close at hand.
Birdie then perched upon his head, A crown of feathers, painted red. They talked of snowflakes, skies so gray, And dreamed of springtime, far away.
They sang a song, the wind joining in, A winter chorus, a joyful din. Snowie no longer felt alone, With Birdie near, his heart had grown.
The forest echoed with their glee, A snowman, Birdie, wild and free. Winter's chill began to fade, As friendship's warmth, a difference made.
And so they stayed, through frost and freeze, Two happy hearts, beneath the trees. Snowie and Birdie, a joyful pair, In winter's forest, beyond compare.
