Sunny the Sun felt sleepy and slow, His golden rays started to softly glow. Down in the meadow, so green and wide, He thought, "A little nap, nowhere to hide!"
Rosie the Rose, so red and so bright, Felt Sunny's warmth begin to fade light. The meadow of wildflowers, a colorful scene, Watched Sunny's big face, no longer keen.
He closed his bright eyes for a dreamy rest, The bees buzzed a little, put to the test. The petals of posies, began to all droop, Like little flags, suddenly stopped in a loop!
The buttercups bowed, and the daisies all sighed, As Sunny the Sun took his nap on the side. The grasshoppers chirped a sad little tune, Hoping he'd wake up again very soon!
But then, with a yawn and a stretch so grand, Sunny popped open one eye on the land! He blinked and he beamed, with renewed delight, And showered the meadow with golden sunlight!
Rosie the Rose stood up tall and so proud, The daisies and buttercups cheered in the crowd. The meadow now bloomed, with colors so new, Thanks to Sunny's short nap, and his sunshiny view!
