On a magical, mist-covered mountain so high, Where clouds danced like silk against the sky, And craggy peaks pierced the misty veil, Lived Sparky the Dragon, with a fiery tail.
He felt lonely, oh so very blue, With no one to play, and nothing to do. His scales shimmered gold, his eyes like bright gems, But loneliness clung to him, just like the stems
Of creeping ivy, that wrapped round the stone. He wished for a friend, to not be alone. Then a flutter of wings, a tinkling sound, Lily the Fairy, on enchanted ground!
Sparky, startled, let out a great sneeze, A burst of bright fire, carried on the breeze! It scorched a small bush, turned its leaves to crisp brown, And Sparky felt awful, hanging his head down.
"Oh dear!" cried Lily, with a worried frown, "Your fire's a bit wild, it's tumbling down!" She sprinkled some dust, sparkling and bright, And whispered a spell, with all of her might.
"Control your flames, Sparky, don't let them roam free, Imagine them dancing, as graceful as can be!" Sparky closed his eyes, took a breath deep and slow, And pictured his fire, putting on a show.
He sneezed again softly, a gentle warm glow, That hovered and pulsed, putting on a show. He twirled it and swirled it, a fiery bright dance, Thanks to Lily's magic, he finally had a chance!
Then Lily climbed on, to Sparky's broad back, "Let's fly!" she cried out, "There's no turning back!" They soared through the heavens, a magnificent sight, Sparky's controlled fire, illuminating the night.
No longer was Sparky, lonely and sad, He had Lily the Fairy, a friend that he had. His fire, once a burden, now shone with such grace, Painting stars on the darkness, all over the place!
