In the deep blue ocean, where seaweed does sway, Lived Octavia Octopus, bored every day. Her eight arms were twitching, she sighed with a puff, "Oh, what's a bored octopus to do? That's enough!"
She spotted a crab, all grumpy and red, Scuttling sideways, with much to be said, (Mostly complaints, in a clickety tone) The crab was a grump, always alone.
Octavia giggled, a plan in her head, To tie the crab's feet, then watch him instead! She zoomed through the water, a blur in the blue, And gently, but swiftly, her mischief she drew.
She tied his two feet with a seaweed-green string, But OH NO! A problem! A terrible thing! Her tentacles tangled, all knotty and tight, Now SHE was stuck too! What a terrible plight!
The crab, he looked cross, then he sputtered a sound, A giggle escaping, and bouncing around. Octavia, she chuckled, her eight arms a mess, "This prank's gone quite wrong, I must confess!"
They wiggled and jiggled, a silly sea sight, Two friends, quite entangled, beneath the sea light. They laughed and they laughed, till the knot came undone, The crab and the octopus, now friends, just for fun!
