Sunny the Sun felt sleepy one day, After shining so bright in his own special way. "Oh dear," he yawned, with a glimmer so slight, "Perhaps just a nap will make everything right."
He looked at the meadow, a wildflower delight, Where butterflies fluttered in colorful flight. He saw Rosie the Rose, so pretty and grand, The loveliest flower in all of the land.
So Sunny closed his eyes, just for a wink, And the meadow grew quiet, a colorful blink. Rosie the Rose, she drooped down so low, Her petals felt heavy, her colors wouldn't glow.
The daisies felt sleepy, the bluebells felt blue, The whole meadow missed Sunny, it’s awfully true! The bees stopped their buzzing, the birds paused their song, Waiting for Sunny to come back where he belongs.
But then! A big stretch from Sunny so high! He opened his eyes, way up in the sky! He sent down his warmth, a golden embrace, And lit up the meadow, at a wonderful pace.
Rosie the Rose perked right up, with a cheer, Her petals all vibrant, banishing fear. The daisies and bluebells stood straight and tall, The meadow bloomed brighter than ever for all!
Sunny the Sun, now refreshed and so grand, Smiled down on the meadow, a beautiful land. He learned that day, a very good thing, Even a nap can make wildflowers sing!
