In the deep blue ocean, so bubbly and bright, Lived Octavia, an octopus, with colors so light. The coral castles shimmered, the seaweed did sway, But Octavia was bored, on this very blue day.
There once was a crab, so grumpy and grand, Scuttling sideways, with claws in the sand. He muttered and mumbled, he huffed and he sighed, "Oh, this ocean is awful!" the grumpy crab cried.
Octavia giggled, a mischievous thought, "A prank on this crab? Just what I have sought!" She crept up so slyly, on eight wiggly legs, And found the crab napping, behind some sea pegs.
With tentacles twitching, she tied his two feet, In a knot made of seaweed, oh, what a feat! But whoops! In her hurry, a tentacle strayed, And got stuck right beside him! Octavia was dismayed!
The grumpy crab woke with a start and a shout, "What's this mess, octopus? Get me right out!" He tugged and he strained, Octavia did too, Now both were entangled, with nothing to do.
They wiggled and jiggled, they strained and they pulled, Their efforts were fruitless, completely annulled! Then, Octavia started to giggle and wheeze, At the sight of the crab in the tangled seaweed trees!
The grumpy crab paused, and looked at her face, And saw her eyes sparkling, all over the place. He huffed and he puffed, then a chuckle escaped, A tiny crab giggle, remarkably shaped!
Soon both were just laughing, the crab and the 'pus, Their troubles forgotten, no need to fuss! With laughter so hearty, the seaweed knot broke, They were free! And the grumpy crab even spoke:
"That was… actually funny," he said with a grin, "Perhaps this old ocean is quite nice within!" Octavia smiled wide, "A new friend, you see! And all thanks to seaweed, and you… and to me!"
