The Sleepy Sun's Nature Nap 2
Sunny felt tired, a weariness deep, Even golden sunbeams just couldn't keep His eyelids from drooping, a heavy, warm sigh, "I need a small nap," he whispered to the sky.
A meadow of wildflowers, a rainbow bright hue, Poppies and daisies, forget-me-nots too. Butterflies fluttered, a buzzing of bees, Dancing and sipping on nectar with ease.
Rosie the Rose, with petals so red, Stood tall and proud, from her thorny green bed. She watched Sunny yawn, a giant gold ball, And whispered, "Oh dear, he's sleepy and small!"
He closed his bright eyes, a moment so brief, But the meadow responded with quiet relief. The colours grew softer, the buzz dimmed a tad, The wildflowers all drooped, looking terribly sad.
Rosie the Rose felt a tickle and droop, Her velvety petals began to stoop. The butterflies paused, their wings still and meek, "Oh, where is the sunshine?" they started to speak.
But then, with a stretch and a golden, loud beam, Sunny awoke from his nature-filled dream! He chuckled and winked, a warm, happy ray, "Did I miss something grand while I slept away?"
The meadow exploded in colour anew, Rosie the Rose straightened, sparkling with dew. The butterflies danced, with joyful delight, The flowers all bloomed, oh so dazzling and bright!
Sunny smiled down, feeling happy and grand, The greenest of grass in this magical land. His nap had been short, but oh so sweet, The meadow now bloomed, a glorious treat!
