Lucky is bored, a floppy-eared sigh, Sunbeams dancing, way up in the sky. The backyard beckoned, green and so wide, With flowers blooming, bursting with pride.
Lucky the puppy, a playful young pup, Met Cat in the garden, perched on a stump. Cat, sleek and silent, with eyes emerald bright, "Let's have an adventure!" she whispered with might.
They tiptoed past roses, so fragrant and sweet, Under the swing set, a shadowy retreat. A butterfly fluttered, a flash in the air, Leading them onward, a whimsical dare.
Through tall blades of grass, a jungle they found, Where buzzing bees hummed, with a magical sound. Lucky sniffed daisies, Cat stalked a fly, Exploring the backyard, beneath the blue sky.
A robin chirped loudly, from branches above, "Beware of the sprinkler, fueled by water and love!" Too late! With a whoosh, a cool, watery spray, Soaked Lucky and Cat, ending their play!
They shook off the water, a shivering pair, Back to the porch steps, to dry in the air. Tired and happy, the sun sinking low, Backyard adventures, a wonderful show!
