In coral reefs shimmering with light, Where sunbeams danced, oh so bright, Lived Rainbow Fish, with scales so grand, But lonely heart in ocean sand. His scales were dull, a muted gleam, Lost in a watery, silent dream.
Then Shelly swam, a seahorse small, "Your sparkle's gone!" she gave a call. "It's not just scales, it's joy you lack! Share them around, there's no turning back!"
Rainbow Fish, with fins a-flutter, Heard Shelly's words, a hopeful mutter. He plucked a scale, a pearly hue, And gave it Shelly, shimmering new! She flipped her tail, a happy sight, Her colours danced in ocean light.
He gave a scale to Benny Bass, Who zoomed around with joyful gas! He gave to crab and starfish too, A rainbow piece for me and you! His shimmery scales began to fade, But smiles around he now had made!
No longer dull, his heart took flight, For friendship bloomed, so pure and bright. Though scales were less, his joy increased, A sparkly smile that never ceased! Rainbow Fish, with friends so dear, Sparkly and happy, forever clear!
