In the pond, so green and grand, Lived a turtle, wise and planned. Lilypads, like floating chairs, Dotted water, free of cares.
Old Turtle, with a shell so neat, Told tales of berries, oh so sweet! Duck, a fluffy, yellow friend, And little tadpoles, without end,
Gathered 'round, on sunny days, To hear his stories, in a haze Of bubbling pondweed, soft and bright, Turtle's words, a pure delight.
He spoke of snails on grassy knolls, And fireflies, with shining souls. He told of clouds that kissed the trees, And whispered secrets on the breeze.
Duck would quack, with happy glee, "Tell us more, oh wise one, please!" The lilypad, a bouncy stage, Held giggling children, turning a page,
In their minds, where wonders grew, With every story, fresh and new. For Turtle wasn't just a friend, His wisdom, without end,
Made him teacher of the pond, Where lessons learned were never conned. He taught them kindness, day by day, And showed them how to laugh and play.
