In a cozy house, all snug and warm, Lived a mouse, escaping every storm. With walls of cream and floors of brown, The quietest house in the whole wide town!
There lived a mouse, so meek and small, A fluffy cat, who loved to brawl, And oh, a wedge of cheddar cheese, Desired by mouse with trembling knees!
The mouse awoke, a hungry chap, "That cheesy treat is in my trap! I'll tiptoe softly, light and low, Before that grumpy cat can know!"
He crept along, a tiny blur, Past dusty books and purring fur. The cat, asleep in sunny rays, Dreamt of chasing feathered jays.
The mouse he scurried, quick and keen, The cheesy prize, a joyful scene! He tugged and pulled with might and main, A nibble, then a bite again!
He rolled the cheese with all his power, And hid inside a flower pot tower. The cat awoke, a stretching yawn, The cheese was gone, before the dawn!
The quiet mouse, with happy glee, Ate cheddar cheese beneath the tree. So full of joy, he squeaked and smiled, The cleverest mouse in miles and miles!
