On a picnic blanket, red and white, Lay Alice and Sam in the sun so bright. With sandwiches stacked and juice box tall, Ready for fun, about to enthrall.
Alice didn't want to share, oh no! "This sandwich is mine, from my head to my toe!" Sam frowned a bit, "But sharing is fun!" Alice just huffed, "For me, sharing is none!"
Then, marching along, a tiny black line, Came ants with a purpose, a busy design. They spied crumbs of bread, a sugary treat, And swarmed 'round Alice's blanket, oh so fleet!
One tiny ant spoke, (though quiet and small), "We always share food, there's enough for all! We carry and lift, together we strive, No ant keeps it selfish, so all may survive!"
The ants, like a river, of tiny black dots, Began to take crumbs from Alice's spots! She watched them work hard, together as one, Each helping the other, 'til their task was done.
The last crumb now gone, the ants marched away, Leaving Alice to ponder, what they had to say. Sam smiled kindly, "See, Alice? It's true, When we share with each other, good things come to you!"
Alice looked down, at the blanket so bare, Then offered Sam half of her juice, with a care. "You're right, Sam," she said, with a happy small sigh, "Sharing is better, and I'll really try!"
And as they both sipped, beneath the blue sky, Alice understood why, sharing makes hearts fly! The picnic was perfect, joyful and bright, Because sharing brought friendship, and banished the blight.
