In a rainforest, green and grand, Where leafy vines looped hand-in-hand, Lived a sloth, so fluffy and round, The sleepiest creature ever found.
Sloth wanted sleep, that much was true, Hanging upside down, his favorite view, Zzzzz went Sloth, a gentle snore, Dreaming of leaves and nothing more.
A cheeky monkey, quick and spry, Swung through the branches, way up high. "Wake up, sleepyhead!" he did shout, "The sun is shining all about!"
He tickled Sloth's nose with a fluffy tail, Hoping his slumber wouldn't prevail. Then came Parrot, bright and bold, With feathers of ruby, green, and gold.
"Squawk! Wakey, wakey, lazy friend!" Her voice echoed, world without end. She flapped her wings, a colorful sight, Trying to rouse him with all her might.
But Sloth just mumbled, eyes still shut tight, "Five more minutes, with all my might." The monkey sighed, the parrot did frown, Sloth was the sleepiest in the whole town!
He dreamt of bananas, a sugary treat, A mountain of yellow, oh so sweet! He munched and he munched, in his sleepy haze, Oblivious to the rainforest's sun-filled days.
So let him sleep, our sleepy friend, His banana dream will never end. In the lush rainforest, green and grand, Sloth dreamt of bananas, close at hand.
