In School Playground, where laughter rings, Mia and Leo, with frowning things. "My swing's the best!" Mia declared with a pout, "No, mine goes higher!" Leo did shout.
A little bird, caught in a terrible plight, Fell from the oak tree, a sorry, sad sight. Its wing was all crooked, its feathers askew, "We must help it!" cried Mia, knowing just what to do.
Leo forgot his swing, his anger, his boast, Together they helped the bird the most. They made a soft nest in a shoebox so grand, With cotton and leaves, right there in her hand.
They fed it tiny seeds, with water so clear, Whispering softly, "Don't you fear!" They watched as it healed, day after day, Their friendship growing, in a beautiful way.
The bird learned to fly, soaring high in the sky, Mia and Leo watched it, with tears in their eye. The argument forgotten, replaced with such glee, Helping the bird set their friendship completely free.
Mia smiled at Leo, Leo smiled back, it is true, “We’re Best Friends Forever," both shouted, “Me and You!” A bird brought them closer, than ever before, Friendship is the greatest and gives much more.
