A little kitty, small and white, Lost in the street, late at night.
Bricks worn smooth, a yellow hue, Streetlights hum, a sleepy view. Trash cans clang a lonely song, Where did I go wrong, so long?
Kitty, Kitty, soft and meek, Lost her way just last week. Fluffy tail and eyes so green, The saddest sight you've ever seen.
"Mew! Mew!" a tiny plea, "Where's my home? Oh, woe is me!" Under benches, dark and deep, Kitty searches, cannot sleep.
"Mew! Mew!" a louder sound, As friendly faces gather 'round. A little girl, with ribbons bright, Says, "Kitty, you'll be alright!"
A sniff, a leap, a happy bound, A familiar scent is found! The little girl, she knows the way, To Kitty's house, at break of day.
Warm milk and cuddles, soft and deep, Kitty's purring, fast asleep. Safe at last, no longer roam, Kitty, Kitty, back at home!
