Walking together, down the sun-kissed street, **Holding Hands**
Sidewalk cracked like puzzles, beneath our dancing feet. Brick red buildings watched us, tall and oh-so grand, With buzzing bees in flower boxes, close at hand.
My best friend clutched my palm, a happy, squeeze so tight, Her laughter bubbled, brighter than the morning light. We hopped over cracks – “Don’t break your mama’s back!” she’d say, And giggled till our tummies ached, along the way.
Talking together, secrets whispered low, Of pirate ships and dragons, where adventures flow. We built a castle from a cardboard box we spied, And ruled our kingdom proudly, side-by-happy-side.
Then zoomed along like race cars, down a gentle slope, Pretending we were astronauts, with nowhere left to hope, except reach the moon that night. A ladybug landed, then took sudden flight!
Now hand in hand, our journey's end is near, But not before our friendship becomes more clear. Though shadows lengthen, and the day is done, Forever friends, we'll always be two, but one. Always together, where hearts forever bind.
