In shadows deep, where stillness sleeps, A dark and silent night it keeps. No rustling leaves, no chirping sound, Just velvet blackness all around.
The stars peeked out, like diamonds bright, And whispered, "Dance! In starry light!" The Moon, a pearl in inky skies, Agreed, "Let's waltz before sunrise!"
The fireflies blinked, a glowing crew, "We'll join the fun, me too, me too!" They zipped and zoomed, a tiny spark, To dance with stars, beyond the dark.
Each twinkling star, with silver gleam, Began to sway, a waking dream. The Moon, so round, began to spin, A cosmic dance, where joy could win.
The fireflies wove, a golden thread, Around the stars above their head. They painted patterns, swift and free, For all the sleeping world to see.
They twinkled bright, a wondrous sight, A silent ballet, through the night. With shimmers soft, and gentle grace, They filled the dark and empty space.
But dawn arrives, a rosy hue, The starry dance is sadly through. The stars grow faint, a soft farewell, Until the night, when magic fell.
