Crimson, gold, and russet bright, October trees, a dazzling sight! Leaves of red, and leaves of brown, Ready now to flutter down.
Leaves named Rusty, Goldie, Red, Wiggled on their leafy bed. Windy whispered, "Hold on tight! We're dancing in the air tonight!"
Rusty chuckled, "I feel bold!" As Windy spun him, uncontrolled. Goldie giggled, "Whee! Oh my!" As she pirouetted in the sky. Red let out a joyful shriek, Streaking down, so fast and sleek!
The wind howled loud, a playful gust, Swirling leaves of fading dust. Up and down, they danced and flew, A rainbow shower, fresh and new. Twirling, whirling, high and low, A vibrant, colorful show!
Then, gently, softly, one by one, Their flying, whirling race was done. They landed softly on the ground, Without a single, rustling sound.
A cozy blanket, warm and deep, Where tired squirrels could snuggle and sleep. A patchwork quilt of autumn hues, Beneath October's frosty dews. The leaves, now still, a peaceful sight, Dreaming dreams throughout the night.
