Fast, fast, went Finley the shark, Through coral so bright, a shimmering ark! A rainbow of colors, a reef so grand, With castles of coral in shimmering sand.
Finley the shark, with a grin and a gleam, Swam past purple fans, a fantastical dream. Tiny fish flashed, in a glittering school, Playing hide-and-seek, by the ocean's cool rule.
"Lunchtime!" thought Finley, with a flick of his tail, He chased a small flounder, who let out a wail! The flounder darted, behind a sea anemone, Finley swerved quickly, "You can't hide from me!"
He zoomed past a puffer, puffed up like a ball, And zig-zagged through seaweed, ignoring its call. The fishes scattered, a flurry of fins, As Finley pursued them, committing no sins,
(Just hungry, you see, in his sharky way!) He nipped at a sardine, who got clean away! He chased a small shrimp, with a jump and a splash, Then sighed, "Oh dear me, this hunting's a crash!"
His tummy still rumbled, a low, gurgling sound, He slumped on the seabed, feeling quite unbound. The sun peeked through coral, a warm, golden ray, Finley closed his eyes, and drifted away.
The fishes returned, with a giggle and glee, "He's sleeping!" they whispered, "As quiet as can be!" Finley the shark, in the warm, sunny haze, Dreamed of sardines, in a food-filled daze.
