On Africas savanna, so wide and so grand, Where sunshine paints gold on the hot dusty sand, The acacia trees whisper, the baobabs loom, A cheetah is stirring, escaping its room... In the tall grassy plains.
The fastest animal alive, sleek and so bold, With spots like dark stars, a story untold. Cheetah named Chester, a blur in the heat, Ready to run with electrifying feet!
He stretches his legs, with a powerful yawn, Then spots a gazelle, as light as the dawn. Gazelle named Gracie, so graceful and fleet, Starts leaping and bounding with delicate feet.
Across the wide plains, Chester takes flight, A golden brown arrow, a magnificent sight! Gracie she dashes, a silver white streak, Her heart beats so fast, her knees are so weak
But Chester is friendly, he only wants a race, A playful competition, a smile on his face. He sees zebra Zach, with stripes black and white, Join in the fun, with all of his might!
They zig and they zag, a trio so grand, Leaping over termite mounds, on Africa's land. The wind whispers secrets as onward they fly, Beneath the bright sun in the big, blue sky.
The run slows, they pant and they heave. All tired now, the sun is soon to leave They come to a river, so clear and so cool, Ignoring each other now, they drink by the pool. Chester, Gracie, and Zach at rest now, Friends on the savanna, the race all anyhow.
