The Sea Turtle's Long Swim

Swimming across the deep blue sea, A tiny turtle, as happy as can be! The water shimmered, a sparkly delight, Underneath the sun, so golden and bright.

He kicked his flippers, a determined soul, Toward adventures in a watery hole! He met a fish, all scales and gleam, Swimming in patterns, like a watery dream.

"Hello!" chirped the fish, with a flick of its fin, "Where are you going, little one, within?" "To a sandy beach," the turtle did say, "It's far, far away, many miles this way!"

The fish swam along, for a mile or two, Past swaying seaweed, a mystical view. They passed a coral, a rainbow bright, With tiny sea horses, putting on a showy light.

The coral whispered, "Beware the strong tide, It pulls and it pushes, with nowhere to hide!" The turtle thanked them, brave and so bold, His shell protecting him, from the ocean cold.

He swam through currents, both swift and so strong, Singing a sea shanty, all day long! Past jellyfish dancing, with a luminous grace, He picked up the pace, in this watery place.

He swam and he swam, till he saw from afar, A glimmer of sunshine, like a magical star! The waves grew gentler, the sand soft and white, He knew he was close, with all of his might!

He crawled on the beach, with a happy sigh, Underneath the warm sun, in the bright blue sky! The sea turtle smiled, his journey complete, Ready to nap now, oh so very sweet!
