Down, down deep, where the sunlight sleeps, At the bottom of the ocean, secrets it keeps. Coral castles rise, in colors so bright, Fish flutter and flash, a wondrous sight.
A grumpy old Clam, with a shell thick and wide, Sat snoring softly, with the turning of the tide. Inside his shell, a secret unknown, A tiny Pearl nestled, all snug and alone.
Something inside the Clam, tickled and gleamed, He woke with a jolt, from a watery dream! He opened his shell, just a crack, peek-a-boo! And there, shining brightly, a pearl pearly new!
A Starfish zoomed by, with a bubbly "Hello!" "What have you got there, Clam? Something aglow!" The Clam puffed his cheeks, with a watery sigh, "It's a Pearl, little Starfish, right here in my eye!"
He hadn't known it was there, tucked in so deep, This shimmering treasure, the ocean would keep. The Starfish exclaimed, with a joyful bright gleam, "A sparkling pearl treasure! It's better than cream!"
So the Clam and the Starfish, with Pearl in their hold, Paraded around, a story to be told. Of a grumpy old Clam, and a treasure he found, The shiniest pearl, in the ocean around!
