In a burrow, snug and deep, 'Neath a giant oak tree, secrets sleep. Roots like fingers, held the ground, Where Hedgehog's home could be found.
Hedgehog, Badger, and Mole, so small, Knew winter's coming, answering nature’s call. Hedgehog sighed, a tiny puff, "Time for slumber, that’s enough!"
Badger bustled, "Let's make it grand! The coziest bed in all the land!" Mole dug tunnels, swift and spry, Bringing fluff for Hedgehog nearby.
Leaves of crimson, gold, and brown, Piled up high, a comfy crown. Softest moss and feathers light, Made Hedgehog's burrow, oh so bright!
Badger puffed the pillows round, No chilly breeze could be found. Hedgehog nestled, snug and warm, Safe from winter's howling storm.
He wiggled close, then curled up tight, Dreaming of sunshine, warm and bright. Badger and Mole, with whispers low, Tiptoed out, watched the first snow.
Then, from the burrow, soft and deep, A rumbling sound, disturbed their sleep! Not a growl, nor bark, nor squeak, But Hedgehog snoring, loud and meek!
He slept so soundly, winter long, A tiny hedgehog, humming a song. Until the spring, when flowers bloom, He'd dream of sunbeams, chasing gloom!
