The bell had rung, school was done, On the playground, bright as the sun! Lily’s backpack, red, blue, and green, A normal backpack, it would seem.
But wait! A fizz, a pop, a spark! Transforming in the evening dark! (Well, almost dark, the sun still shone), Into a rocket, all its own!
Her friends, Tom and Daisy too, Stared wide-eyed, “Is this true?!” Lily gasped, then with a grin, Said, “Hop aboard! Let’s begin!”
The Rocket Backpack, with a mighty roar, Lifted off, and asked for more! Around the swings, a zooming flight, Past the slide, a dazzling sight!
Over the sandbox, filled with glee, A loop-de-loop for you and me! The rocket backpack, a joyful ride, Across the playground, far and wide!
Then with a whoosh, and gentle bump, It landed soft, a happy thump! The rocket backpack, small and neat, Back to normal, oh so sweet!
No one believed them, what they’d seen, But Lily, Tom, and Daisy keen, Knew the secret, safe and sound, The Rocket Backpack, adventure bound!
Back to playtime, now the same, But with a memory, like a flame! Ready for the next school day, And maybe… another rocket play!
