Upon a street of city sound, Where taxis honked and buses bound, A tiny kitten, lost and small, Felt shivers run right through her all.
The Lonely Kitten's Meow, a tiny plea, Lost in the rush for all to see. A bustling city, loud and bright, Filled her small heart with such a fright.
The Dog, a boofing, friendly soul, With wagging tail and happy stroll, Heard the meow, so soft and weak, And peeked around, with gentle squeak.
People hurried, faces grim, Lost in thoughts, on hurried whim. They didn’t hear the kitten’s call, Or see the tears begin to fall.
But the Dog, he knew just what to do, He nudged the kitten, "Boof! Me too!" He led her gently, paw in paw, Following sounds, escaping law Of crowded streets and hurried feet, To where a warm and cozy treat, A bowl of milk and scratching post, A friendly face she loved the most!
The Dog led her, a loyal friend, Until their journey met its end. A little girl with eyes so bright, Saw the kitten in the light.
She scooped her up, a gentle hold, A loving story to unfold. The lonely kitten, scared no more, Found a loving home to adore! At last!
