In stanzas or groups of lines.
The space station hummed, a silver bright pearl, Orbiting Earth, a dizzying swirl. Stars like diamonds, scattered and grand, Our brave astronaut, planted on space-land.
But oh, disaster, a terrible fright! Astronaut Annie, with all of her might, Was folding her laundry, all neat in a stack, When WHOOSH! Two socks flew, there was no turning back!
Her stripy socks, her fuzzy blue pair, Escaped through a vent with a whoosh in the air! "My socks!" cried Annie, "They're floating away! I need them for space walks, starting today!"
She donned her jetpack, a gleam in her eye, "I'll chase those darn socks through the whole galaxy sky!" Past meteor showers, a sparkly cascade, Annie zoomed after, unafraid, undismayed.
She tumbled and twirled, a sock-seeking star, Leaving Earth far behind, really quite far. Then, a blur of green, a spaceship so small, An alien zipped by, answering Annie's call!
With antennae wiggling and eyes big and bright, The alien chuckled, a comical sight. He held up the socks, all fuzzy and new, "We use them for blankets! They're warm, it is true!"
But seeing Annie's face, so sad and so grim, He knew he had to give them back to her, him. He traded the socks for a bag of space cheese, And waved goodbye with a cosmic sneeze!
Annie grinned wide, her mission complete, Her socks safe and sound, oh so fluffy and sweet! Back to the station, she happily flew, Thanks to an alien, and socks fuzzy and blue!
