In a house so grand, and empty too, Dust motes danced in sunbeams, it's true. Cobwebs hung like ghostly lace, A perfect, quiet, echoing space.
The brave little mouse, so small and meek, Heard a *thump* and a *squeak,* A scary noise, a chilling sound, Making his tiny heart pound and pound.
Suddenly, a flash of fur, A grumpy cat with a mighty purr! Whiskers twitching, eyes so green, The meanest cat he'd ever seen!
Then, a woof and a bark, a happy sound, A playful dog bounced off the ground! Tail a-wagging, full of glee, A friend, perhaps, for him to be?
But still, that noise, that thump and squeak, Sent shivers down his whiskers sleek. He scurried on, a daring quest, To find the source and put it to the test.
Behind a chair, all big and old, A splash of colour, brave and bold! A giant balloon, all round and bright, Bouncing gently in the fading light!
The cat crept closer, eyes now wide, The dog just barked and jumped with pride. The mouse, so brave, with tiny paws, Reached out and *POP!* broke all the laws!
The balloon deflated, with a sigh, Not so scary after all, way up high! The cat just yawned and strolled away, The dog just wagged and wanted to play.
The brave little mouse, no longer scared, Knew sometimes noises can be shared. A balloon's pop, a simple thing, Made a brave little mouse a joy to sing!
