Head hanging low, a sight so sad, In a sunny flower field, quite mad! A sunflower sleeps, its face to the ground, No golden crown, no buzzing sound.
The sleepy sunflower, droopy and deep, Lost in a dream where bunnies leap. Around it danced, a vibrant hue, Poppies red, and violets blue.
Buzz, buzz, buzz, a bee zoomed near, "Wake up, Sunflower, banish your fear!" But the sunflower slept, a heavy head, Ignoring the bee, safe in its bed.
The Sun peeked out, a warm, bright eye, "Why so glum, beneath the sky?" He stretched a ray, a golden hand, And gave the sunflower a sunny strand.
A gentle hug, a warming kiss, The sunflower stirred, "What is this?" It felt the heat, a happy glow, And started to rise, remarkably slow.
Up, up, up, it stretched so high, To greet the Sun, way up in the sky! No longer sleepy, no longer down, The sunflower smiled, a golden crown!
The bee buzzed happy, the field so bright, The sleepy sunflower, awake with delight! Now facing the sun, so big and bold, A happy story, to have and to hold!
