Snow and rest is needed, you see, For sleepy bears and the whole tree! In forests deep, where shadows play, And caves await, come what may.
Bear Hibernation, a winter's call, As snowflakes dance and gently fall. The bears so furry, big and brown, Prepare to sleep, all safe and sound.
A cozy cave, a leafy bed, For sleepy heads, tucked in instead Of chasing bees or fishing streams, They're lost in slumber, sweet, sweet dreams.
The winter chills may bite and blow, But bears are warm, tucked down below. They dream of honey, sweet and bright, And buzzing bees in summer light.
Squirrels and rabbits, hushed and low, Tip-toe past where the bears do go. The snow keeps falling, soft and white, A blanket tucked in, day and night.
But wait! What’s this? A warmer breeze! The sun returns among the trees! The snow is melting, drip, drip, drop, The bears awaken with a POP!
Stretching paws and blinking eyes, They greet the spring with happy sighs. No more sleeping, dark and deep, It's time to play, it's time to leap!
The bears are happy, strong, and free, Awakened now for all to see! The winter's gone, the fun's begun, Bear Hibernation, overcome!
